 What are customers saying about Ecotricity? 

 Our team have conducted thorough research to find out exactly what customers think of Ecotricity. We have dug deep across numerous review sites and used verified customer reviews.

 The Ugly – 1-Star Reviews

 Starting with the worst of the worst, Ecotricity has one of the highest proportions of bad ratings from our research, but what exactly are they doing wrong?

 Well, two words, customer service. The vast majority of 1-star reviews come from customers complaining about very poor customer service.

 It is hard to sum up all of the comments here, but let’s just say that along with comments about being unhelpful, many find it impossible to get in touch with them.

 If you have an issue and can’t even get in touch with the company then something is definitely going wrong. Not acting on phone calls emails or app messages, customers have been left without support or help which is crucial during these unprecedented times.

 In addition, many have stated meter readings are being ignored, leading to the bill not being altered and prices not changing to reflect energy usage. Not acceptable from such a big supplier.

The Bad – 3-Star Reviews 

 There seems to be a common trend with Ecotricity… customer service. Again, the overwhelming majority of customers are dissatisfied with the service Ecotricity provides.

 Not being able to get a response from the customer service team is a theme we saw constantly amongst reviews. There seems to be a huge delay facing the company, especially regarding responses to emails.

 If you prefer contacting via email then this company may not be the one for you as they seem pretty incompetent at responding in time.

 Then when it comes to calling up, it looks as though many find it difficult to get in touch with the right department, with confusing contact numbers and then eventually, when you speak to someone, they are not the one you need to resolve your query.

 Other comments saw customers finding the website confusing, with one even saying it is so hard to use it is to the point of being fraudulent!

 Focusing on the company as a whole, reviews said that Ecotricity is losing that ‘personal’ touch. At first, the company impressed some, however, problems then arose when trying to contact through online platforms and by phone.

 The Good – 5 – Star Reviews

And finally, let’s look at the good. The energy supplier seems to be great at switching suppliers. Many customers state the switch was easy and they use a simple quick and efficient application.

 They are a responsible company, using green energy and provide good information about bills and how money is used. Customers are happy that their tariffs are better for the environment and the planet.

 Unfortunately for Ecotricity, the overriding issues are keeping customers unhappy and no matter how good the applications are, the customer service problems seem to persist.

 Difficult to contact, confusing website and a loss of personal touch. The list goes on. Luckily, there are companies out there learning from these failures and that’s where we come in.
