The Good – 5-Star Reviews

Whoever Donna is, she is responsible for a raft of positive reviews.
Seriously – Donna is superhuman.
Where customers felt Sainsbury’s Energy did really rather well is often providing a helpful service to their customers. Whereas for other suppliers some customers enjoyed the slick apps or easy-to-use websites, at Sainsbury’s Energy their approach to customer service is applauded.
There were a few mentions of customers being happy with their newly installed smart meters or noting how efficient changing to their new energy supplier was – but nothing else of note.
The Bad – 3-Star Reviews

Things did start to take a turn for the worse at the 3-star review level.
There seems to be a huge problem with meter readings across the company – dozens and dozens of customers simply could not understand how their meter readings were so far off. From here, it appears to be a massive hassle to sort out.
Customers were regularly asked to take their own meter readings and send them in, much to their frustration.
Small issues would generally start near the beginning of supply, which would then snowball if not dealt with early. Frustrating given how many customers complained about emails being ignored or left for weeks.
The Ugly – 1-Star Reviews

Sainsbury’s Energy have some very worrying trends appearing in their one-star reviews.
A recurring problem with their new customers who were attracted to switch because of the promise of thousands of nectar points have been left disappointed. Dozens of customers have not seen even a single nectar point since joining and have been left trying to chase this up with Sainsbury’s Energy. Most regularly, these complaints are ignored or just redirected time and time again to different departments. This has led to customers using language like ‘scammers’ or ‘ripped off’, feeling like they have been deceived into joining.
Repeated warnings from current Sainsbury’s customers to others to not make the same mistake and avoid the company like the plague.
